How do you find the difference of two numbers? Subtract the two numbers. What is a mixed number? A number that includes a whole number and a fraction. Example: 3 1/2 What is an improper fraction? A fraction that has a bigger number on top. Example: 5/3 How do you find the lowest common denominator of a fraction? You find a common number that the denominators will divide into evenly. What is a prime number? A number that is only divisible by 1 and itself.
