Count using ordinal numbers.
First, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, etc...
What is an odd number?
1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and any two or more digit number with one of the above in the ones place.
How do you reduce a fraction?
Break it down to lowest terms by dividing both numerator and denominator by the same number.
What is the Greatest common factor of two or more numbers?
Biggest number that will divide evenly into both numbers.
What is the Least common multiple of two or more numbers?
Smallest number that both numbers will evenly divid into.
What is a digit?
A single number.
What is a line of symmetry?
A line through a shape that divids it in half so that both halfs are exactly the same.
How do you find the perimeter of a shape?
Add up the measurements of all the sides.
How many objects in a dozen? How many in two dozen?

How do you find the sum of two numbers?
Add the two numbers.
How do you find the difference of two numbers?
Subtract the two numbers.
What is a mixed number?
A number that includes a whole number and a fraction.

Example: 3 1/2
What is an improper fraction?
A fraction that has a bigger number on top.
Example: 5/3
How do you find the lowest common denominator of a fraction?
You find a common number that the denominators will divide into evenly.
What is a prime number?
A number that is only divisible by 1 and itself.
