The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual people are not sinful, nor are their feelings but call them to remain celibate, instead of sexually active. It is forbidden in the Bible: "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." (Leviticus).

The Catholic Church also, however, teaches that people cannot help their sexual orientation, therefore discriminating against people because of their sexual orientation is wrong. - "The Church utterly condemns all forms of unjust discrimination, violence, harassment or abuse directed against people who are homosexual" - Catholic Bishops' Conference.

Evangelical Protestants believe that homosexuality is a sin and that there should be no homosexual Christians. They believe that the Bible is the direct word of God and as the bible condemns homosexuality in some passages of both Old and New Testaments, it must be wrong. - "Homosexual behavior is a sin because it is disobedient to scriptural teachings" (Pentecostal).

Yes:

The Church of England believes divorce can be the lesser of two evils, meaning it is better for a couple to divorce than for them to be in a marriage with no love or where one partner is abused.

It is better to divorce than live without love because the marriage is then meaningless - They may reference the marital vow of "til death do us part" and see it to reference the death of love, not the death of the partner and so divorce is permitted.

"Everyone should accept homosexual relationships." (6Marks)

Yes:

It is respectful to accept a person's sexual orientation and we should respect everyone no matter who they are.

Homosexuality has nothing to do with religion and is quite likely to be genetic, so we should not reject them from religion.

Some religions such as the Church of England accept homosexuals and encourage them to be welcomed into the faith, so why can't all religions?

No:
