Also called a reseller or middleman, this is a person or firm in a marketing channel, such as a retailer or wholesaler, that operates between the producer and the final buyer of a product. Intermediaries typically are responsible for buying and selling goods, and also have a role in the following: transporting product, storing product, financing, and supplying marketing information. |
