What is the the equation for the magnetic flux linkage? |
Flux linkage = B x A x N x cos theta |
What is Flemming's left hand rule? |
What is the motor effect? |
The forces acting on either side of the coil are opposite so cause the coil to spin. Once at 90° the split ring commutator breaks the circuit, the momentum of the coils causes it to rotate passed vertical where the current is applied again. The direction of the current is changed to change the direction of the forces on the coil. |
What is the equation for current? |
I= n x A x Q x v |
What is the equation for the force on one charged particle? |
F= B x Q x v |
What is the equation for the induced emf? |
e = -N x change in magnetic flux/ change in time. |
What is lenz's law?
The direction of the induced current is always such as to oppose the charge that caused the current. |
What is the equation for magnetic flux? |
Magnetic flux density x area |
What is the unit for flux linkage? |
Weber |
Why does the current decrease as the coil turns faster? |
Lenz's law EMF is induced The EMF increases with speed Change in flux linkage |
