The processes in which materials / services are obtained to meet the supply demand of buyers and how these resources enter the supply system.

Requirements determination

Understanding what supply/materials are required and strategically placing them to meet deployment objectives.

Inventory Management

Using a number of processes such as catagorisation and segmentation, cataloguing, accounting and information management to ensure the ideal amount of each inventory item is maintained.
