How do we write up question 2? |
We're not analysing language, structure or effects. we are just summarising Source A and B, they can ask about similarities or differences
We need to write 2 paragraphs, one on Source A and one on Source B. Use sentence starters which link to the quote such as: this (feeling) is further shown.... When we start the 2nd Paragraph about Source B we can start with: Similarly or On the other hand point evidence infer evidence infer --------------------------------------------------------- The other evidence and infer are optional if run out of time --------------------------------------------------------- evidence infer Evidence = quotes, find 3 quotes which all back up the point made, when putting it into the paragraph you could just say from lines x - b. We want to write 1 of these paragraphs for each source I |

You need to talk about Language, can be technqiues like similies, metaphors, Rhetorical questions, hyperbole, personification, rule of three
Or just identifying the type of word something is (verb, adjective etc..) and analysing it and explaining the effect

How do we write up question 4 ? |
We are comparing between Source A and Source B and are looking at the methods used. Methods meaning language and structural techniques. 2-3 paragraphs
So for the paragraphs we do: Point (these top 4 are for Source A) Reference Technique Explain -------------------------------------------------------- in the middle here to join these two points up we either say: However/ on the other hand ( if there is a difference) or Similary --------------------------------------------------------- Point Reference (These bottom 4 are for Source B) Technique Explain
All of this together is one Paragraph, we repeat all of this 2-3 times. Both of our explaining points should be linked to each other
For the first sentence starter, mention the different experiences like the writer in Source A ...., whereas, the writer in Source B... |

introduction - Rhetorical Questions, by the end should make our stance on the arguement clear; do we agree or disagree, can use stats
4x 9 minute paragraphs and then write a conclusion - repeat the fact or rhetorical question we used in the intro
