No. If you think of some of the dominant humanphenotypes, you'll notice they are uncommon. Examples are widow's peak, cheekdimples, cleft chin, and 6 fingers/toes. In this example that recessivecharacteristics are more frequent is the gene for having 6 fingers is dominantto the trait for having 5 fingers, but most people have 5 fingers. However,very few people do have 6 fingers. Therefore, many more people possess bothrecessive traits for the number of fingers they have. (natural selection)
