All weight on head - Flexor posturing - A lot of reflexes - Muscles and nervous system are there
Neonate
Holding the baby in a standing position, lean the baby a little forward and it will push its feet into the ground
Positive Support Reflex
Prone: Weight moves down to shoulders/upper chest, Shoulders abducted, elbows a little extended, Scapular retraction

Pull to Sit: Head lags, trunk remains flexed, Not a lot of assistance by baby
1 month
Prone: Weight moves down to mid chest, shoulders start to flex forward, some weight on forearms, hips adduct, extend, and begin to internally rotate

Pull to Sit: Head lags, a little more tone in arms and shoulders in response to stretch
2 months
Weight moves down to abdomen, lots more weight on forearms as shoulders flex forward and scapula protract, Neck extends forward with balanced flexor/extensor control
3 months
Reaches to midline, Balanced trunk flexor and extensor control, occurs around 3 to 4 months
Bilateral Symmetrical Control
Prone: Weight moves down to pelvis/thighs, shoulders flex way forward, a lot of weight on hands, head supported vertically, Now weight can shit onto one side thigh and forearm to free up the other arm to reach
5 months
Pull to Sit: Baby takes responsibility, head flexes forward and precedes trunk, thorax is more extended, Abdominals active, Takes weight on flat soles, trunk extension at least down to lumbar spine, hips more abducted and externally rotated, active head control
5 months
Weight no back on feet (and hands), active postural control through trunk and limbs, equilibrium and protective extension reactions are now very active, Occurs around 7 to 10 months
Bear Walk
Equilibrium and righting reactions are becoming well integrated into the postural repetoire, Notice protective extension of left arm during use of right, If weight is displaced to the left, the right leg will pull up and extend to regain balance, Occurs around 7 to 10 months
Kneeling
Equilibrium and righting reactions are well integrated into the postural repetoire, subtle equilibrium responses are developing through trunk muscles, child is embarking on an antigravity postural career, Occurs around 12 months
Standing
Stimulus: tactile input to ulnar side of palm

Response: involuntary strong flexion of all digits

Occurs when 2-3 months old
Grasp reflex
Stimulus: Neck rotation

Response: Extension of limbs on nose side, flexion of contralateral limbs
ATNR
Stimulus: Hold leg in extension stimulate bottom of foot

Response: Flexion, followed by extension and adduction of contralateral leg
Crossed Extension
Stimulus: Lean child forward in upright

Response: Full extension of legs
Primitive Stepping
