Calculate and use the form to write on your calculations. Note push for 15s so divide by 4 for a 1min flush. If 2mins divide by 8. and if 3 mins divide by 12 to get the amt to be pushed over 15secs.

Start with the 2 flushes. Wipe before attaching the syringe! Do not touch the barrel! and when done put it aside onto my LEFT for fLush.

Now Get the MED. Clean that port b4 you attach it.

Hint: Your med may be more than 1ml and your flush is most likely 1ml so look at it in case you dont remember. Verify it to Mar. Place it to MAR

Cleanse port with wipes, attach syringe! for flush 1. Then open clamp.

dont forget. BLOOD RTN good in IVP. So Aspirate and push flush 1 and after throw in the SHARKS! SHARPS. |
Then the MED! Watch in position and now wipe and attach the MED and b4 PUSHING notify CE "I WILL START PUSHING WHEN THE 2ND HAND REACHES 12 AND I AM PUSHING ___ML IN __MINS. START!!
Push SLOW at the designated rate . NEXT here is SHARPS IT. Finally attach Flush push slow and next is Sharps then DONE. |

Close Clamp! and OFF GLOVES!! next

Remove the OLD MiniBag and put on new one. Dont contaminate spike.

CK to see tubing has no air bubles and patent. |

If there is bubbles?
|
Backflush! open the clam on the secondary slowly while Lowering the IVPB to backflush getting rid of air bubbles.

Check 2- the site is ck again for Edema.

Start the drip by unclamping the 2ndary tubing all the way.

Set using the controller-THE PRIMARY CLAMP. Hint-when CE is counting with you for that 30sec its not looking good say i need to set it again.Dont let it go for 1full min! or its too late.
