Why is the surface area to volume ratio important for the cell? |
Because the greater the surface to volume ratio the faster the exchange between the cell and it's environment. The size of the cell is limited by surface area to volume ratio to ensure the normal rate of metabolism inside the cell. |
|
What is the size range of cells? |
Most cells are between 1-100 um in diameter. |
|
Why should a log scale be used? |
To plot large data ranges. A log scale should be used because it can be used to plot large data ranges. |
