Functions of anaphylatoxin

●Acts as chemoattractants

●Increase vascular permeability causing Edema

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus( everything you know)

Autoimmune disease and type 3 hypersensitivity

●Antibodies(IgG) bind DNA and nucleoproteins release from damaged cells(antigen-antibody complex/immune complex)

●The complex is deposited in basement membrane of blood vessels

●Triggers activation of complement system consuming complement proteins around the body (systemic)

●Activated complement proteins cause edema, destruction of vessel wall(cell injury) that triggers inflammation .

●Cell death of vessel cells can result in result of autoantigens (DNA and Nucleoproteins causing cycle to repeat)
