He knew he didn't have anywhere to turn but God. The men looked to him for leadership. He suffered with them and kept high spirits. He reminded them that they were free. He said hope of victory rested on grace of God. He wasn't particularly educated yet he was a great man. Convinced his men with God's favor they could succeed. Knew he couldn't do it but relied on God and never gave up. |
