Pacts with soviet union | Similar
Both had pacts or alliances with the Soviet Union
Hitler had the Nazi-Soviet Pact. Initiated by the Soviets to protect themselves from Germany.
Cuba and the Soviets had trade and defense agreements to supplement ones lost after losing US support once Castro came to power. Led the Soviets to have influence in Cuba and lead to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Cuban and Soviet relations lasted longer until the fall of communism in Russia in 1991 (fall of soviet union)
Expanding territories.
Both Hitler and Castro wanted to expand, however Hitler wanted to expand in the Lebensraum and Castro into South America. Castro was more focused on spreading communism rather than his own territories.
Invasions
Hitler provoked and initiated an invasion through Poland on 1 September 1939. Castro did not directly provoke an attack, however was attacked by the US in the Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missile Crisis.
