Battle of Bosworth

(22nd August 1485)


Henry - 5000 men


Richard - 10,000 men


Richard lost due to the Stanley's not taking part in the battle against Henry.


Richard separated himself from his troops, was killed by Stanley's troops.


God had dictated these events, therefore Henry deserved the throne.

Declared that Edward V1 marriage ro Elizabeth Woodville was invalid and their children were illegitimate.

Allowed Hebry to take back all of the land owned by the Crown.


Gave Henry more spending power compared to the rest of the nobility.
