-Because they lived in countries controlled by other empires : example = the greeks that lived under the role of the ottoman empire -They wanted gain independence to lives in their own nation -Sometimes, nationalism led people to believe that their nation was better or more important than other nations |

-Louis Philippe was iniatially a popular king -But in 1848... Wages were falling and the unemployement and inflaction were increasing -Once again people in Paris put up barricades and matched on the royal palace -Louis Philippe escaped to Britain and a new Republica was created in France : The French Second Republic -The revolution spread all over Europe againist absolute monarchies -These revolutions are known as the Spring of Nations, because many of rebellions were nationalist |
