Why was the printing press such an important invention? How did it change society?
The printing press was such an important invention because it allowed written work to be distributed widely, quickly, and cheaply. It changed society by allowing nearly everyone to gain a copy of the Bible for themselves and so people stopped solely believing the priests (they found out they were being lied to.)
Explain 2 advances made in science during the Scientific Revolution. How were they different than what was previously believed?
1) The Sun is the center of the solar system, not the Earth.

2) Newton defined gravity; earlier, it was not known how we stayed on the ground, only that we did.
Identify one group that was persecuted during the late Renaissance. How were they persecuted?
Anyone believed to be a witch was burned at the stake, drowned, drawn and quartered, etc. They were put on "trials" in which the odds were impossibly stacked against them (Ex. Let's throw that lady in the lake, if she floats, she's a witch, if she drowns, we made a mistake.)
