Motivational Interviewing

It is a relationship- centered, client -centered system of change by which a counselor utilizes various techniques and interpersonal skills known to be effective agents of change.

CHANGE

Is the act, processes, or results of altering or modifying

RESISTANCE

Is an interpersonal exchange whereby a client appears to be working against - While a counselor may seem to be arguing for change.
