What does a foresnsic pathologist do?
They investigate the deaths of people who die suddenly or unexpectedly or as result of injury.
What is the two-pronged test that foresic pathologists use?
First, is the death sudden.
Second, was the death expected.(i.e. if person had been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease then death would have been expected even if sudden.
What questions can be answered by a forensic pathologist examining the crime scene in person?
Post injury movement, time of injury, time of death and anything that has to do directly with the case.
What two methods to pathologist use to obtain DNA from victim for future DNA analysis?
A drop of blood can be placed on an absorbant cloth, then allowed to dry and put in an envelope.
Or head hairs can be pulled, but make sure the bulb with nuclear DNA is on the tip.
