Make one perenthace after that number (8). Then in the parentheses, you find the number in the parentheses (3+5) by doing that number (8) ÷ by the first number in the expression (24). That is three. The expression has a + sign, so you bring that down. Then ÷ that number (8) by the second number in the expression (40). That is five. Now add your the last perenthace and you are done!
