Mark Matthews early life |
Born 1961, in Wollongong NSW, studied piano, organ and singing. Did an honours degree in engineering and was a construction engineer before being a musician. Got a diploma in music and now teaches music and engineering at Wollongong College of TAFE. He is also an ABC radio presenter, performs with the Illawarra choir and has recorded solo albums and gospel songs. |

Emily’s etude was inspired by mark matthew’s daughter and is a reflection of her conversations that which change constantly, are dynamically varied and always have her with the last word. |

Etudes |
Etude is the french word for study and it is desinged to learn a skill (in this case finger legato). In the 1800s this became popular. Some famous composers who wrote etudes are czerny, cramer and chopin. |
