Characterized by presence of multiple motor tics AND one or more verbal tics
Occuring for period of 1 year, without a tic-free period of more than 3 months
Reactive Attachment Disorder
Markedly disturbed, developmentally inappropriate social relatedness/relationships beginning before 5 y.o.

Schizoaffective Disorder
Mood episode and active phase sx occur together AND are preceeded or followed by at least 2 weeks of active delusions or hallucinations WITHOUT mood sx
Delusional Disorder
At least 1 month of non-bizarre delusions without any of other active phase sx of Schizophrenia
Brief Psychotic Disorder
Lasts more than 1 day, remits by 1 month
Shared Psychotic Disorder
Presence of a delusion in an individual who is influenced by someone else who has a longer- standing delusion with similar content
Schizophrenia- Paranoid Type
Preoccupation with delusions or hallucinations

Unless catatonic or disorganized type are present
Schizophrenia- Catonic Type
Diagnosed with prominent catatonic sx regardless of presence of other symptoms

Marked psychomotor disturbance
Schizophrenia- Disorganized Type

Major Depressive Disorder

One or more Major Depressive Episodes
Major Depressive Episode
At least 2 weeks of depressed mood or loss of interest accompannied by at least 4 other sx of depression
Dysthymic Disorder
At least 2 YEARS of depressed mood for more days than not

Depressive sx do not meeting criteria for major depressive episodes
Bipolar I Disorder
One or more Manic or Mixed Episodes

Usually accompanied by Major Depressive Episodes, but not required for dx
Bipolar II Disorder
One or more Major Depressive Episodes accompanied by at least one HYPOMANIC episode
Cyclothymic Disorder
At least 2 years of numerous periods of hypomanic sx and depressive sx not meeting criteria for Manic Episode or Major Depressive Episode
Panic Attack
Discrete period with sudden onset of intense apprehension, fearfulness, or terror

Shortness of breath, heart palpitations, chest pain, choking, fear of going crazy and loosing control
Agoraphobia
Anxiety about or avoidance of places or situations from which escape might be difficult or in which help may not be available in the event of having a Panic Attack or panic sx
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
At least 6 months of excessive/persistent anxiety and worry
Somatization Disorder
Characterized by pattern of recurring, multiple, clinically significant somatic complaints not able to be fully explained by gen. medical condition
Begins before age 30 and causes significant impairment in functioning
Conversion Disorder
Unexplained sx and deficits affecting motor/sensory functioning suggesting neurological condition
Pain Disorder
Pain is the primary focus of clinical attention
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Preoccupation with an imaginced or exaggerated defect in physical appearance
Factitious Disorder
INTENTIONAL production of physical or psychological signs or sx
Malingering
Symptoms are produced intentionally AND goal is obviously recognizable if environmental factors are known
Sexual dysfunctions
Characterized by disturbance in sexual desire and in psychophysicolgical changes that characterize sexual response cycle and cause marked distress
Paraphilias
Characterized by recurrent, intense sexual urges, fantasies, behaviors that involve unusual objects, activities or situations and cause clinically significant distress or impairment
Gender Identity Disorders
Characterized by strong/persistent cross gender identification & discomfort with assigned sex
Trichotillomania
Characterized by pulling out of one's hair for pleasure, gratification, relief of tension and results in noticeable hair loss
