Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome |
When receptors for testosterone are absent or defective, a genetic male (XY) will display female secondary sexual characteristics. Serious cases will result in a genetic male appearing entirely female at birth. |

Deficiencies in thyroid hormones at birth resulting in mental retardation and developmental delay. |

Hyperthyroidism |
Excess of thyroid hormone resulting from a tumor or overstimulation. Heightened activity level, increased body temperature, increased respiratory and heart rate, heat intolerance, and weight loss. |

Erythroblastosis Fetalis |
Condition where an Rh+ fetus is attacked by maternal anti-Rh antibodies, resulting in hemolysis of fetal cells. |

Edema |
Accumulation of excess fluid in interstitium. |

Where contractions become so frequent that muscle is unable to relax at all, resulting in muscle fatigue. |
