The cornea, lens, and iris gather and control the amount of light allowed to enter the eye. The image is focused with the retina The retina: - Cones: good for day vision, light, and color; takes 2-3 minutes to adapt after moving into a dark area - Rods: good for night vision; central blind spot, look off center to view; full dark adaptation takes 30 minutes, but will function in 3 minutes |
