What's the mechanism of action?

Increases serum glucose levels.

What's the dosage for adults and pediatrics?
|
Adults - 12.5-25g slow IV, repeat as necessary. Pediatric - .5-1.0 g/kg/dose slow IV repeat as necessary.

Hypocalcemia, AMS, coma of unknown etiology, seizure of unknown etiology, status epilepticus.
