What is the FDI system?
|
a two-digit system, the first digit indicates the quadrant and the second digit indicates the tooth within that quadrant. Quadrants are allocated 1 to 4 for permanent teeth and 5 to 8 for deciduous teeth. Counting starts on patient's upper right side and proceeds clockwise.
