What is the fairness analysis of In personam jurisdiction?
Fair play and Substantial Justice

1. RELATEDNESS: between the contact and the claim, does claim arise from contact? If yes, D need not have a great deal of contact w/ CA. Where claim is related to D's contact w/ forum there is "specific personal jurisdiction."

Court has jurisdiction for Claims not arising out of D's contact w/ forum only if court has "general personal jurisdiction" that requires D to have continuous and systematic ties to the forum (e.g. domicile, incorp., regional headquarters).

2. CONVENIENCE (severe disadvantage in the litigation - Hard to meet this standard)

3. STATE'S INTEREST (provide forum for its citizens)
