What were William’s skills? Talk about them in detail.
William was a good warrior, and well trained. He had good tactics, like tricking the soldiers. He also reassured his soldiers by showing them he was alive.
Training and tricking.
Harold’s mistakes?
He didn’t get a bigger army after the battle of Stamford bridge. He made his soldiers angry by not giving them the booty. He was foolish to be tricked by the French and break the formation.
Fool!
Luck
William’s ship was meant to stop where harold was waiting for him, but the weather didn’t allow it to, which gave them extra time and harold none.

Difference between armies
Harolds army was mostly made of fyrd, untrained soldiers, William had cavalry, archers and foot soldiers and they were well trained?
