Developed Point
On many occasions the US Government have taken measures to try and tackle terrorism, one of them being the travel ban. When Donald Trump became President in 2017 one of the first pieces of legislation he enacted was an Executive Order preventing people from majority-Muslim countries from entering the USA.
Developed Point - Analysis
However, this attempt at resolving terrorism is clearly ineffective due to there being no threats coming from the nations affected by Trump’s travel ban, given that no citizen from any of these countries has caused any terrorist related deaths in the US since 1975.
Developed Point Two
After the terror attacks of 9/11, the US and British armed forces began a military campaign against the political terror group the Taliban and also the terror organisation known as Al-Qaeda.
Developed Point Two - Analysis
Although the US government was able to kill the then leader of Al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Ladin in 2011, the military action in Afghanistan carried out by the US government has been unsuccessful in resolving terrorism due to the Taliban still carrying out terror attacks in Afghanistan and other regions on a regular basis, and although Al-Qaeda’s threat may have dwindled in recent years, it has been replaced by ISIS.
