Conformity (majority influence)?
When someone chooses to change their behaviour or attitudes due to real or imagined group pressure or norms. The individual is often influenced by how the majority of the people think and behave hence why it is known as the majority influence.,
Supporting football team but no interest in football
Compliance?
A type of conformity when you public ally agree with the majority but privately disagree with them because you do not agree with them. Short term change in behaviour as it is note a permanent change in behaviour.
Identification?
A type of conformity where we act in the same why as the group because we value it and want to be a part of it. This is a public and private acceptance but temporary as we don’t maintain such view after we leave the group i.e in the army.
