Screening
The process of selecting the most qualified
candidates through eliminating the unqualified and undesirable applicants.
(Reviewing their CV's) example: short listing 5
possible candidates out of 30 applications
received. A panel of relevant people can be used to complete the short listing process.
Selection
Selecting the best candidate for the position out of the group shortlisted during the screening process.
(Person with the most suitable qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience)
This can be established through interviewing them.
