Social Influence
A change in an individual's thoughts, feelings, attitudes or behaviours as a result of interactions with another individual or group
Conformity
Yielding to group pressure
Compliance
The most superficial type of conformity; you change your behaviour to be accepted by the group (to be liked)
Identification
This is an intermediate level of conformity and occurs because we identify with the other group members- this is a temporary change in belief
Internalisation
This is the deepest level of conformity and results in a permenant change in belief
