Defined as having an O.C. spacing greater than 600mm or 24” (2’)
Describe the installation of components in a post and beam structure
Put together piece by piece, starting by connecting posts or columns to foundation or main subfloor. Beams are then set atop the posts to provide lateral connections and to accept the floor or roof components and connections.

Generally use plates, bolts and hardware that are visible upon completion
