Aim of study
To discover whether the power of a group was enough to make a person give an obviously incorrect answer to an easy task
Procedure of study
Used unambiguous task. American Male undergraduate students. Pair of cards shown to group. One card = test line. Other card = three lines differing in length. Pps asked to state out loud which line was the same as the target line. Correct answer = obvious. Naive pps in group of 6. Placed last but one. Confederatea gave same unanimous wrong answer on 12 out of 18 trials

Conclusion of Study
Asch demonstrated that the power of group pressure was so strong it could make people give an obviously incorrect answer to an east task
