Define Minor Misconduct
A first or minor behavioural issue eg
Lateness
Conflict with a team member
Indolence
Define Serious Misconduct
Repeated breaches of a minor nature
Failure to comply with lawful directions, policies, procedures or legislative requirements
Threatened or actual assault of another employee
Misuse or damage to government property or resources
Serious or repeated bullying, harassment of an employee, client or member of the public
Theft of MFS equipment
Who is responsible for managing employee who has been alleged of Misconduct
Minor is dealt with at Station Officer level
Repeated Minor it is expected that the Commander will be notified and provide support for SO to address
Serious Misconduct shall be reported to Commander and then report to ACFO they will decide if counselling is required and if Chief Officer needs to be referred
Ensure thorough notes in a diary are kept on any meeting, time, date, place, what they said
