The space around a magner in which any other magnet or certain metals experience a force. It is represented graphically by lines of force. thesess lines also represent the nature and extent of the field.
Electromagnetism
The relation between magnetism and electricity.
Electromagnet.
It is a magnet in which magnetism is produced due to the flow of electric current through a wire wrapped around it. It can be switched off by stopping the flow of electricity through it. An electromagnet is a temporary, powerful magnet. They are useful for the following -
-They can be made to give very strong magnetic effects
-The strength of an electromagnet can be changed by changing the size of a current.
-It can be switched on and off by turning on or turning off the current.
