Magnetic flux density
Magnitude and direction of a magnetic field can be represented by it's magnetic flux density B, it is measured in Tesla's.
Magnetic flux
Measure of the number of magnetic field lines passing through the region. Measured in Weber's.
Right hand grip rule
Grip the wire using the right hard with the thumb pointing in the direction of the current. Fingers point in the direction of the field.
Tesla
Is the magnetic flux density in which a force of one Newton actions on a metre length of a conductor which is carrying one amp and is perpendicular to the field.
Left hand rule
Motors. Because motors drive on the left.
DC motors
Side X is experiencing a downward force, and Y experiencing an upward force. Inertia carries the wires round the commutator.
