Alcohol is readily available to adults that it is easy to rely on it. Therefore it is often used as a defence. Needs to be limited as victims need more protection

Proposals for law reform
Involuntary intoxication; law commission proposed there should be a list of situations that count as ‘involuntary’ + this should be considered when deciding if D had required MR
