1) glucose is phosphorylated using ATP.
2) unstable molecule breaks into 2 triose phosphates
3) oxidised by NAD, producing:
ATP x 2 and NADH

Glycolysis is the process by which glucose is broken down into pyruvate
Prod and react of glycolysis
Reactants= 2ATP, 2NAD and glucose
Products= 4ATP, 2NADH and 2 pyruvate
