Gamay
It got its name from the town of gamay near chalon-sur-saone theories suggests that it can come from dalmatia , cross of gouais blanc and pinot, thin-skinned grape , early budding and ripening susceptible to botrytis/grey rot , mildew, loves schist and granitic soils. Visual bright ruby with puple tones.
Aromas/flavors fruit tart red fruit strawberry, red currant , rasberries, cranberries, watermelon, pomegranate, carbonic maceration banana. Bu blubblegum, cotton candy, floral and fresh. Floral violets, lilacs. Vegetables sometimes a little bit of leaf stems dew to whole cluster maceration, earth crush rocks, wet granite, high minerality aok none to neutral cask.
Structure dry , elevated acid , moderate minus alcohol , mederate minus tannins. All crus behave differently than others with different expressions and structures.
