Where do B and T cells develop and mature?
Both types of cells originate in bone marrow.
B cells- stay/develop in bone marrow
T cells- migrate to thymus to finish developing

To eliminate microbes
What are antigens?
Antigens are foreign substances that may trigger a response from the immune system. Recognized as NOT a normal part of the body. May be whole cells, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids or nucleic acids that DO NOT belong in the body.
