What is plasma?
This is collected in anticoagulated tubes and contains all coagulation factors
What is serum ?
This is the liquid that remains after the blood has clotted and lacks some coagulation factors that were used up during the clotting process
What is whole blood ?
This is anticoagulated blood that has not been separated into plasma and cells by centrifugation
