Following longitudinal temporal bone fracture along the petrous bone
Roof of EAC, middle ear fractured above which is dura.. It gets injured
CSF comes through EAC
CSF otorhinnorhea
Followed by transverse fracture of temporal bone
Only roof of middle ear, and inner ear is involved .petrous apex also get involved which causes 7th palsy(mc), 8th involvement
Intact TM
So csf comes through eush tube
Crocodile tears
Caused by aberrant regeneration of facial nerve
While eating, lacrimation occurs(greater petrosal)
