Funding of Client Assistance Programs is through

CAP personnel and advocates assist people with disabilities by providing
-info/referral
-counseling and advice regarding rights and responsibilities relative to the projects and programs funded under the Rehabilitation Act
-mediation and negotiation to resolve problems/concerns
-assistance with (administrative) appeals to resolve grievances, including representation of impartial hearings
-access to legal services as needed
Where are CAPs located/offered in the US?
-total of 56 exist
-16 are housed in a variety of state and private entities, including a governor's office, legal aid, and a private law firm
-12 are located internally in state vocational rehabilitation agencies
