Buckley Amendment
Family rights and privacy act. allows parents/guardians the right to their child's records. The 1974 Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act granting parents of students under 18 and students 18 or over the right to examine their school records.
Epperson v Arkansas
Established that teaching evolution does not violate the separation of church and state.
First Amendment
This constitutional amendment protects freedom of religion and speech. An important part of this amendment is the establishment clause, which prohibits schools and the government from promoting or inhibiting religion in schools.
