Trachea
Transports air to and from lungs, known as windpipe, kept open my c shaped rings of cartilage, cough reflex, lined with mucus secreting ciliated epithelium, traps foreign particles and moves them up and out of lungs
Bronchi
Trachea branches into 2 airways- right and left bronchi. Contain ciliated epithelia, smooth muscle and cartilage
Bronchioles
Smaller branches, lack cartilage
