Cell storage form of iron. Microscopy-yellow golden , brown. Present where senescent of RBC takes place,ie. Spleen,liver bone marrow. Increased breakdown of rbcs cause iron overload. Hereditary condition hemochromatosis, acquired by- chronic haemolytic anaemia, sideroblastic anaemia, cirrhosis, multiple blood transfusions

It is effect of a variety of stress due to etiological agents , a cell encounters resulting in changes in it's internal and external invironment
