ABC's and treat (positioning)
1. Pulse check/skins
2. A/Ox ? & GCS
3. C/C, SOB? If so, what came first?
4.Tell crew c/c and game plan
5. Delegate to crew:
EKG with 12 lead
BP/ Pulse ox/ capnography
IV stripped out/ Blood glucose
Oxygen
Tell radio man HAM/story from family/bystanders
6.OPQRST
O- Gradual? Sudden?
P- What were you doing when the pain started? Anything make pain better or worse?
Q- Describe the pain.
R- With 1 finger can you point to the pain? Does the pain go anywhere? Does the pain come and go or is it constant?
S- Pain 1-10
T- How long ago did the pain start?

-Take a step back and check on vital signs/monitor and 12 lead
-Tell radioman/capt your findings.
-Think about NTG/ASA now.
8. Special questions/secondary:
-N/V/D? If yes, how many times? Blood? Zofran PO or IV?
-Recent trauma to chest? Visualize.
-Any recent cough or cold?
-Pain on palpation? Pain on inspiration? Pain change with rest or exertion?
-SOB? JVD? PE? AMU? Speaking in full word sentences?
-Stress
-Have you ever felt this pain before? Seeing a MD for it? Diagnose?
-Have you taken anything for the pain? Are you taking all meds as prescribed.
9. HAM or gather information that other personal might have gotten on scene.
10. Take step back and tell radio man answers from steps 8/9 treatment plan/ hospital dest.
11. Call for Gurney and treat (start IV)/ transport.
SOB
ABC's
1. Pulse check/skins (think about CPAP/ setting up airway kit)
Get lung sounds.
2. A/Ox ?
3. C/C, CP? If so, what came first?
4. Tell crew c/c and game plan.
EKG
Pulse ox/BP
Oxygen/breathing tx and route (HHN/mask/in line ET) or CPAP
IV stripped out
Tell radio man to get HAM/story from family/bystanders
