Ophthalmic Division (V1)
Supratrochlear
-branch of the frontal nerve
-exit orbit at medial end of the supraorbital margin
-supplies forehead and upper eyelids

Supraorbital
-Direct continuation of the frontal nerve
-Leaves the orbit through supraorbital foramen
-Distributed to the forehead, scalp, upper eye lid, and frontal sinus

External Nasal
-Branch of the anterior ethmoidal nerve
-Emerges between the bony and cartiliginous part of nose; supplies skin of the nose

Infra trochlear
-Branch of the nasociliary
-Supplie the medial side of the upper eyelid
Skin of the nose and lacrimal sac
-Exits orbit at the medial side of the infra-orbital margin
(I-SES)
Maxillary Division (V2)
Infraorbital
-Continuation of the maxillary nerve
-Enters face through the infraorbital foramen and then branches
Zygomaticotemporal
-Branch of zygomatic nerve
-Exits through the z-temporal foramen
-Supplies the temporal part of the head

Zygomaticofacial
-Branch of the zygomatic nerve
-Exits through the z-facial foramen
-Supplies the skin of the face

Mandibular Division (V3)
Mental
-Termination of the inferior alveolar nerve
-Emerges through the mental foramen
-Supplies the skin of the lower lip and chin

Buccal
-Anterior division of the mandibular nerve
-Supplies the skin and mucous membrane of the cheek

Auriculo-temporal
-Arises from the posterior division of the mandibular nerve
-Generally arises from two roots that encircles the middle meningeal artery
-Closely related to the parotid gland and superficial temporal artery
-Supplies skin of the external ear
-Temporal area of the scalp
