Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

a disease state characterized by the presence of airflow obstruction due to chronic bronchitis or emphysema; the airflow obstructive is generally progressive, may be accompanied by airway hyperreactivity, and may be partially reversible.
