Television on children's behaviour

Proceedure

Natural experiment on St Helena - tv was being introduced



Reserves collected observation on children, information about them using a questionaire, content analysis, video cameras to film the kids

Results

Found little differences in the children

Coonclusion

Tv has no significant effect on the children

Strengths

Natural experiment- greater realism and easy happening anyway


Cameras were discreet do children would act naturally

Closed community know eachother and can control children
